Zero is going to bring back Shah Rukh Khan's audience again ?

Shah Rukh Khan’s real audience has not gone anywhere. He put out two films in 2017.

Out of the nearly 200 films released by Hindi cinema in 2017, Shah Rukh Khan’s Raees was number 2 and his Jab Harry met Sejal was number 8 in the world wide box office.

They may not have seen the huge numbers we’ve seen at the box office of Salman Khan’s new Tiger movie, but they both still did fine.

Besides, neither or them were mindless action movies or masala entertainers. They were both films which required brains and emotions to be used, so they did better overseas than they did in India.

If the people of India are not willing to put forth the effort to support Shah Rukh Khan’s adventures into branching out with the sort of films he is presenting and keep hollering at for him to return to the films he used to make, well the rest of us in the world are more than happy to take up the slack.

The man is stretching himself, his acting abilities, his co-stars, his directors, his production house and special effects team to break new ground for India’s film industry. He is a brilliant man who has by now earned the right to make what ever kind of films he chooses to make.

His real fans, those who truly understand and appreciate his talent, will support any film he brings to us, because he always gives his best, no matter the type of film it is. We all have the types of films we prefer over other types, but then so does he.

The work he has done with Zero promises to be stellar. It is a one of a kind film, the likes of which has never been done anywhere in the world before, using VFX in new and innovative ways. This film is probably going to be one that causes the whole film world to sit up and take notice.

As for bringing back his audiences….well, that is up to the audiences. But he still has more fans in this world than any other living actor and has over 32 million followers on Twitter, so I don’t think he’s hurting.

It would be nice if the fans in India would stop complaining about this type or that type of film he makes and simply support and appreciate his entire body of work and find worth in all of it.

Looks like he’s still got plenty of fans. We here in America have never seen anyone with this kind of fandom. Not since Elvis have people been standing like this outside of a star’s home to catch a glimpse of them and Shah Rukh Khan attracts even bigger crowds than Elvis used to. Wow…what a guy this man is.
